Meet Sophia

Sophia graduated from Adelphi University, New York with a Bachelor of Science degree. She attended Trinity International University where she received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. Currently, continued her academic journey pursuing her PhD in Couple and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University.
Sophia has presented at an international conference. Currently, Sophia is an adjunct professor in the behavioral science master’s program. As a couple and family therapist and a registered marriage and family therapist intern with the State of Florida, Sophia provided therapeutic services for families at the Brief Therapy Institute and the Medical Therapy Clinic at Nova Southeastern University, private practices, schools, in-home therapy and non-profit organizations.
Sophia’s training includes Systemic Thinking, Intergenerational Trauma, Mindfulness, Bowen Family Systems Therapy, Gottman Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Grief Care, Maternal Mental Health/Women’s Health, Play Therapy, Parenting Training, Career Development/Life Coach, Leadership Development, Suicide Prevention and more.
