Meet Angela
Delray Beach Team
Angela graduated from Florida State University with her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022. Growing up going to Colombia every summer to visit family and having other experiences with travel, Angela has always had an interest in helping others from different cultures and backgrounds. She has provided counseling both in English and Spanish.
Angela has been with Marriage and Family Services since January 2024 working as a therapist in the public school system. Prior to Marriage and Family Services, she has worked at a middle school and a Partial Hospitalization Program for eating disorders in Miami and Tallahassee. While running groups and providing individual sessions, Angela got experience with ACT, CBT, and DBT interventions. She also worked for 3 years during graduate school as a crisis hotline counselor for 2-1-1 Big Bend, Lifeline, Family Healthline and Florida HIV/AIDs Hotline. She also has experience working with private clients with various concerns including life adjustments, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family conflict, divorce, and LGBTQIA+ issues.
As a therapist, Angela provides an empathetic and gentle approach to therapy. Through a person-centered approach she believes in giving her clients a non-judgmental space to allow them to explore themselves deeply. Angela is registered with the state of Florida and is looking forward to providing services to clients through Marriage & Family Services, both in-person and via Telehealth.
