Meet Ana
Miami Team
Ana’s passion for helping others stemmed from her role as a mental health technician. Working with children and adolescents in a residential setting opened her eyes to the importance of a systemic approach that addresses a person’s various interactional patterns and dynamics. This led her to obtain a Masters in Couples and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University where she focused on and practiced social construction models such as Narrative Therapy and Solution Focus Brief Therapy. Currently, Ana is pursuing a Ph.D. in Couples and Family Therapy.
Ana believes our social world shapes the assessment, treatment, and collective understanding of various diseases and health conditions. Ana helps individuals make meaning of their lived experiences while co-creating alternative stories that honor a preferred reality. Some of Ana’s therapeutic specialties include Trauma – PTSD, adolescent concerns, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Immigration, Race and Cultural Identity, Coping Skills, Depression, Self-esteem, Spirituality, LGBTQ+ Support, Anger Management, and Psychoeducation. Equally as important, Ana strives to uphold a standard of safety, diversity, inclusivity, and cultural humility.
When she’s not working, Ana enjoys binging on shows, fitness, church, and travel!
