Meet Amanda
Delray Beach Team
Welcome to a decision that can change your life- therapy! I knew I wanted to be a therapist since I was in middle school, but my pathway getting there was a bit different. I was in the medical program and got my Early Childhood Education Certification in high school. I then went on and graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Education. I taught in the Palm Beach County School District for 3 years as an English teacher and then went to Valdosta State University to fulfill my dream by getting a Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy.
Having been in the school system, I can work with teachers, administrators, guidance counselors, parents, and students of diverse populations. I love working with couples and teens. I am Haitian- American, so I can work with Creole-speaking clients. I also do Faith-based counseling.
Throughout my life, I have been dancing and doing performing arts. For this reason, I understand the healing that can come when connecting arts therapeutically. I do creative therapy which includes implementing dance, music, acting, poetry, or other creative measures to allow every part of you in the therapy room.
The same way we learn differently is the same way we heal differently. Whether it is trauma, grief, abuse, depression, mental health conditions, family turmoil, relational issues, adjusting to change, and anything in-between, I am here to collaborate with you in any way that helps you go through life’s journey the way you desire because you are worthy to be loved.
